Things that make me smile

It makes me so proud to see my kids playing together well. They found a computer game they can play together. He uses the arrow keys and she uses the space bar (to jump). They cheer each other on and laugh the entire time. How cute.

Here is another funny Olivia story. The other day we were eating Blueberry Almond Crunch cereal for breakfast. She picked up a piece of it and said "Look Mommy. I found a human". Trying to hold back my laughter I said "No baby, that's an almond".

On a side note, Logan did very well in his soccer game this morning. He had a great time, and he is getting better every game.

The picture of Olivia is right after she had her hair done today. They washed, cut, and styled it. She loved every minute of it.

Addendum

As a side note to that last post, I will take the time to learn how to set up a slideshow with the pictures eventually. I also tend to forget to turn my pictures upright when I'm tired. Sorry.

A day in Elgin and Princess Wishes

It has been a busy week so I am a bit behind, not that I have had much to say lately anyway. My husband would probably disagree with that. Saturday after the soccer game we loaded up and went down to Elgin to visit my mom, grandma, aunt and uncle, cousins and their two girls. My cousin and his wife brought their bounce house (thank you!). The kids loved it, almost as much as mooing at the cows. It kept them busy most of the afternoon. It was nice to get to visit with everyone, although we were completely worn out by the end of the day.

Sunday Olivia, my stepmom and I went to see Princess Wishes at the fair. It was a lot of fun. It actually kept Olivia's attention for the whole show, which is pretty impressive for a young three year old.

1st Soccer Game

Logan had his first soccer game this weekend, and he did very well. He has improved each season he's played. He especially loves practice. Now he asks why he doesn't have practice more than once a week. Here are a few pics of the game. They are a bit blurry, but it's hard to get good pictures while they are running.

Forgiveness

The last few days when Olivia gets mad at someone, mainly her brother, she yells "I forgive you!" Very cute, but I don't think she really knows what she is saying.

No fur for me please

We went out to dinner the other night at a restaurant where the kids were given cotton candy for their dessert as part of the kids meal. Our kids have never had cotton candy before, but we thought they would love anything that the the main ingredient was sugar. Olivia took one bite and started making a bad face. She tried one more bite, and then she wouldn't eat anymore. We asked her "Olivia, don't you like you cotton candy?". She said "I don't like the fur in it." Wow, a three year old that doesn't like cotton candy.
